SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 01/22/14 -- Digital Caddies Inc. (OTC Pink: CADY) announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement with the PGA National Golf Resort located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, to install the Company's proprietary golf information system, The Players Network, at all five of the resorts' golf facilities.
"The Digital Caddies Players Network is an exciting new technology for golfers and golf course operators," said Jane Broderick, Director of Golf at PGA National. "We are very excited to be able to offer our customers this leading-edge service and to leverage the technology to its fullest."
By installing multi-functional, Internet-connected, high-resolution tablets in golf carts which operate on golf courses across North America, Digital Caddies is creating, a proprietary, nationwide, interactive network -- The Player's Network. A network that most notably offers national and local advertisers the ability to not only reach, but also to intimately engage with one of the most attractive and sought after demographic segments -- the golfer.
Once a golf course is equipped with The Player's Network, golfers are treated to a host of useful and engaging applications and services including GPS-based course information, scoring, touch screen interaction and on-course messaging. Golfers can also use the system to notify the beverage cart of their location to receive more prompt service, access weather, news, sports, and other entertainment online. The Players Network will soon be able to create customized leader boards that can be shared online in real-time (ideal for group outings and private events) as well.
In addition, The Player's Network provides the golf course a broad portfolio of course management tools via GPS-based cart tracking and communications. These tools enable course operators to improve the golfers experience and pace of play, increase merchandise and concession sales via real-time on-tablet promotions, and access additional revenue streams.
"Having The Players Network installed at a world-class facility like PGA National is not only very exciting, it's also an honor," said Mike Loustalot, President of Digital Caddies. "The five golf courses at PGA National are among the finest in Florida and have hosted many defining moments in golf history. We look forward to a prosperous and lasting partnership with the PGA National team."

Traditional data warehouse and analytical systems are mature technologies that can be used to handle certain kinds of queries, but they are not always well suited to many problems, particularly when there is a need for real-time insights.
