SAN FRANCISCO and FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- IDG World Expo today announced that Guy Longworth, Senior Vice President of PlayStation® Brand Marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) has joined the Game Marketing Board of Governors for the Game Marketing Summit® (GMS). The ninth annual GMS, the must-attend annual event for interactive game marketing professionals, will be held in San Francisco at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

Longworth joins the Board of Governors, the governing body of the Game Marketing Summit that oversees the annual budget, strategic planning of the conference, awards, year-round member services, organizational direction and long-term goals development.

Longworth made an immediate impact since he joined SCEA in October 2011 where, under his vision and guidance, SCEA launched the Greatness Awaits campaign, which led to the most successful platform launch in PlayStation history in North America. Longworth has more than 20 years of consumer marketing experience at companies such as Procter & Gamble, Kraft Foods and Kellogg's. Longworth founded Annapurna One, where he was responsible for partnering with CEOs to develop new business strategies that maximized value and growth.
