SAN DIEGO, Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Move over, dog lovers! San Diego will be the center of the cat-owning universe on January 25th when World's Best Cat Litter™ joins thousands in celebrating the first-ever #IMACRAZYCATLADY Day!
World's Best Cat Litter™ is kicking off a year-long celebration of proud cat owners with #IMACRAZYCATLADY Day events set to take place at the Cat Fanciers Foods and Water Bowl XXII Cat Show in nearby Del Mar, CA and a nighttime #IMACRAZYCATLADY dance party at Quality Social – a popular nightclub in San Diego's Gaslamp District.
While cats have long been the fodder for Internet sensations, World's Best Cat Litter™ officials said their newly invented holiday officially marks the emergence of a wide cross-section of the cat-owners who are proud to say #IMACRAZYCATLADY.
"There was a time when being crazy about cats conjured up a certain, somewhat negative image," said Jean Broders, Brand Manager of World's Best Cat Litter™. "Today's cat lover is much more diverse than that and cat owners are proud to share their love for felines."
According to the American Veterinary Medicine Association (AVMA), more than 36 million American households in 2012 included at least one cat. During the same year, cats outnumbered dogs in American households by more than 4 million.
"We wanted to encourage the millions of cat owners out there to take pride in their pets in real life and online with #IMACRAZYCATLADY Day," said Broders.
The new holiday's events will kick off at the Cat Fanciers Food and Water Bowl XXII Cat Show – the largest annual cat show on the West Coast. Ambassadors from National #IMACRAZYCATLADY Day will be attending the show on January 25th and 26th. World's Best Cat Litter™ will sponsor the Household Pet—Best in Show award to recognize the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in this non-pedigree breed category.
On the evening of January 25th, proud cat lovers will convene at Quality Social, a nightclub in downtown San Diego's Gaslamp district, for a party with DJ Man Cat – a local entertainer known for his feline-themed show. The event – which will take place from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. – is open to the public and will feature complimentary #IMACRAZYCATLADY cocktails, kits, giveaways and photo booth images.
World's Best Cat Litter™ officials say San Diego is the kick-off of a year-long campaign augmented with online #IMACRAZYCATLADY contests, discussions and celebrations on Facebook and Twitter @bestcatlitter.

DevOps tends to focus on the relationship between Dev and Ops, putting an emphasis on the ops and application infrastructure. But that’s changing with microservices architectures. In her session at DevOps Summit, Lori MacVittie, Evangelist for F5 Networks, will focus on how microservices are changing the underlying architectures needed to scale, secure and deliver applications based on highly distributed (micro) services and why that means an expansion into “the network” for DevOps.

Containers have changed the mind of IT in DevOps. They enable developers to work with dev, test, stage and production environments identically. The Internet of Things is not only adding billions of sensors and billions of terabytes to the Internet. It is also forcing a fundamental change in the way we envision Information Technology. For the first time, more data is being created by devices at the edge of the Internet rather than from centralized systems. What does this mean for today's IT professional? In this Power Panel at @ThingsExpo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, panelists addressed this very serious issue of pro...

The cloud has transformed how we think about software quality. Instead of preventing failures, we must focus on automatic recovery from failure. In other words, resilience trumps traditional quality measures. Continuous delivery models further squeeze traditional notions of quality. Remember the venerable project management Iron Triangle? Among time, scope, and cost, you can only fix two or quality will suffer. Only in today's DevOps world, continuous testing, integration, and deployment upend...

In the midst of the widespread popularity and adoption of cloud computing, it seems like everything is being offered “as a Service” these days: Infrastructure? Check. Platform? You bet. Software? Absolutely. Toaster? It’s only a matter of time. With service providers positioning vastly differing offerings under a generic “cloud” umbrella, it’s all too easy to get confused about what’s actually being offered. In his session at 16th Cloud Expo, Kevin Hazard, Director of Digital Content for SoftL...
