EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/22/14 -- Visionstate Inc., a division of CSM Systems Corp (TSX VENTURE: CKX), and CBL & Associates Properties Inc. (NYSE: CBL) have agreed to implement a network of interactive kiosks throughout retail centres across the United States. An estimated 90 kiosks, at 30 CBL properties, will be installed within the next twelve months beginning with two locations in Madison, Wisconsin.
East Towne Mall and West Towne Mall have been chosen to be the first locations to receive the ViCCi (Virtual Customer Care Interface) that is designed to greatly improve the shopping experience and provide an outlet for interactive advertising.
"CBL is always looking for new technology partners and business platforms to provide our shoppers with greater convenience, functionality, and point-of-sale communication. Accordingly, we are pleased to be one of the first national mall developers to bring digital directories to our customers, retailers, and partners. We are confident that the Visionstate directory units will make the shopping, dining, and entertainment experience at select CBL malls more enjoyable and convenient. The units will provide our shoppers with customized real-time information directly from retailers, advertisers, local emergency officials, and other related parties. Additionally, the navigation tools within the units are designed to complement how consumers shop naturally, and the vast array of information that is available will enhance the shopping experience," stated Jim Ward, Vice-President, Brand Development.
ViCCi is an interactive software designed by Visionstate Inc. to assist shoppers with their informational needs including tenant location, 3D maps, sales/promotions, job postings, and directory searching by category, keyword, and alphabet, all on a large-format (55 inch) touchscreen display. Visionstate's ViCCi advanced software also provides shopping centers a creative way to actively involve shoppers with promotional campaigns.
"We are very excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with CBL, as they are one of the largest mall REIT's in North America. ViCCi will be an engaging addition that will increase the already stellar shopper experience, as well as bring new opportunities for revenue generation through advertising," stated John Putters, President and CEO, Visionstate.

There is an ever-growing explosion of new devices that are connected to the Internet using “cloud” solutions. This rapid growth is creating a massive new demand for efficient access to data. And it’s not just about connecting to that data anymore. This new demand is bringing new issues and challenges and it is important for companies to scale for the coming growth. And with that scaling comes the need for greater security, gathering and data analysis, storage, connectivity and, of course, the...

In the world of DevOps there are ‘known good practices’ – aka ‘patterns’ – and ‘known bad practices’ – aka ‘anti-patterns.' Many of these patterns and anti-patterns have been developed from real world experience, especially by the early adopters of DevOps theory; but many are more feasible in theory than in practice, especially for more recent entrants to the DevOps scene. In this power panel at @DevOpsSummit at 18th Cloud Expo, moderated by DevOps Conference Chair Andi Mann, panelists will dis...

We’ve worked with dozens of early adopters across numerous industries and will debunk common misperceptions, which starts with understanding that many of the connected products we’ll use over the next 5 years are already products, they’re just not yet connected. With an IoT product, time-in-market provides much more essential feedback than ever before. Innovation comes from what you do with the data that the connected product provides in order to enhance the customer experience and optimize busi...
