American Heart Association, Feel Rich Team Up With YouTube Fitness Celebrities for Stories "From The Heart"

Collaboration Aims to Increase Heart-Healthy Habits and Support the AHA

NEW YORK, Jan. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- More people than ever are using YouTube to help them manage their health, and fitness trainers have become celebrities in their own right on the website, attracting thousands of loyal followers. For the first time ever, some of YouTube's top fitness experts are coming together to share their personal stories about heart disease and inspire their fans to improve their heart health.

The "From the Heart" campaign, a collaboration between the American Heart Association and healthy lifestyle movement and conscious media company Feel Rich, will present a series of videos on YouTube featuring the biggest names in the online fitness industry, including Tara Stiles, BarStarzz, Adam Ali, Sarah Fit, and Caroline Milli. The videos can all be seen at the You Tube From the Heart Channel.

"A healthy lifestyle is essential to maintaining a healthy heart, and we're excited that Feel Rich and the You Tube fitness stars are getting personal and reaching out across the Internet to help get the word out," says Mariell Jessup, M.D., president of the American Heart Association.

"These trainers represent the best of what the online fitness movement has to offer," says Feel Rich co-founder Quincy Jones III. "Their passion for transformation is contagious, and we're thrilled that they're forming a united front to spread their healthy message to as many people as possible."

In addition to inspiring change by baring their souls and revealing the lessons they've learned about living heart healthy lives, visitors to the American Heart Association's YouTube page are encouraged to subscribe to get regular links to healthy videos, as well as click on a link to donate money directly to the American Heart Association.

"These videos are not just entertainment," says Feel Rich co-founder Shawn Ullman. "We are trying to touch people's hearts to help them make lasting change."

"We want 'From the Heart' to be an ongoing, interactive experience," adds Jones. "We're encouraging people to become change-makers by sharing links, posting their own stories, and making donations. Together, we can make a difference."
