Since opening its doors in 1996, the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, has been one of the most popular venues for sports, concerts and special events. The venue is home to the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League and on July 16, fans of Katy Perry will have a chance to visit the arena to see the "PRISMATIC" tour. On this date, fans will also get to see Capital Cities perform as the opening act for Perry.

This is Perry's third headlining tour since catching her big break in 2008 with her anthem, "I Kissed a Girl." Her first tour as a solo artist was the "Meet Katy Tour" in 2009. On that tour, Perry played 89 dates around the world and she followed that tour up with a 124 date "California Dreams Tour." That show earned close to $60 million and was ranked as one of the top concerts of 2011. Her performance on the tour earned Perry the People's Choice Award for "Best Tour Headliner."

The "PRISMATIC" world tour is being held in support of Perry's fourth album, Prism. It hit stores in October and has already sold more than one million copies in the United States and has reached the No. 1 spot in several other countries album charts. The success of this album is due in large part to the popularity of "Roar," which was the debut single of the album. It became the eighth No. 1 single in the career of Perry and has been the theme song of many Grammy Award commercials in the past few weeks. She has also released two other tracks from the album including "Unconditionally" and "Dark Horse."

The opening act on this date of the "PRISMATIC" tour is Capital Cities. Capital Cities is made up of two friends from CaliforniaRyan Merchant and Sebu Simonian – who are known mostly for their hit song, "Safe and Sound." The duo has seen their popularity as a group increase as that song has reached more fans and will likely see their profile in the music business improve more because of their opening gig for Perry.

The Canadian Tire Centre was formerly known as Scotiabank Place. The facility can seat more than 20,000 fans and will surely sell out as fans become eager to see their favorite pop princess perform live.

Ticket Down has Katy Perry floor, upper level, lower level, and VIP seating at discounted prices.  This trusted secondary ticket website has extended their customer appreciation promo/discount/coupon code KATYPERRY2014 for special savings on any Katy Perry tickets in Ottawa ON at the Canadian Tire Center.
