To Make the UX of looped in(TM) as Fun as the Game or Concert at BU's Agganis Arena, Consumers Score $5 Free When They Load Their Account, $2 Back Each Time They Spend

Money Pops Up Every Time Consumers Use looped in to Buy Food and Drinks at Agganis, and at All Participating Merchants Around BU, Northeastern, BC, and Cambridge

BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/27/14 -- PXT Payments, provider of looped in™, an electronic mobile payment system (watch the video), is running a Spring semester campaign to warm up sports fans and college students each time they play and pay with looped in.

For each money load of $10 or more, looped in will add another $5 to the account. Consumers will see the $5 appear instantly in their balance on the app's home screen. And each time a consumer spends $5 or more of their looped in dollars, another $2 gift will pop up instantly in their account balance. The campaign will run all Spring semester.

"Using looped in to pay is so simple, and I watched the money reward appear instantly on my phone today," said Nona Haller, a BU freshman TV/Film major. "It was really cool!"

Students who use looped in say that the deals are important because managing money can be tough. "They really help with a tight budget, especially for extras like snacks and drinks at the game," said said Raeshell Martinez, a freshman business major at BU.

Money can be loaded into a free, PIN-secured looped in account with funds from any bank account or debit/credit card. Once the money is loaded into the app, the phone is ready to use for paying merchants, or sending money to other looped in account holders.

"I really love this app. We use our phones for everything and looped in is exactly what we need in a payment app," said Iveta Stancheva, a BU freshman. "It's much easier than a wallet."

Visit areyoulooped.in to see all participating merchants and for quick and easy steps to enjoy the PIN-based mobile pay app with person-to-person payment, group buying, deals and deal sharing.

It's easy to assume that your app will run on a fast and reliable network. The reality for your app's users, though, is often a slow, unreliable network with spotty coverage. An offline-first app is an app that works, without error, when there is no network connection.

As someone who has been dedicated to automation and Application Release Automation (ARA) technology for almost six years now, one of the most common questions I get asked regards Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS). Specifically, people want to know whether release automation is still needed when a PaaS is in place, and why. Isn't that what a PaaS provides? A solution to the deployment and runtime challenges of an application? Why would anyone using a PaaS then need an automation engine with workflow ...
