2014 Dodge Avenger exciting for Stettler families

New sedan has muscle car DNA

STETTLER, Alberta, Jan. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Conventional automotive wisdom says that an automaker can make or break their business on the back of their mid-size sedan selection. Dodge has done very interesting things with this segment. A prime example of this is the 2014 Dodge Avenger available in Stettler, AB at Stettler Dodge. This mid-size sedan has all of the modern features and amenities that would please even the most discerning of customers. Additionally, the exterior design represents the muscle car DNA that has made Dodge an industry leader in that regard for almost 50 years. Overall, the 2014 Dodge Avenger is a great example of a family vehicle, while still retaining a subtle wild side.

The 2014 Dodge Avenger has a pair of engine options for potential customers to choose from. Base versions of the new sedan will have a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that will turn out 173 horsepower while being able to achieve very respectable Environmental Protection Agency fuel economy ratings of 21 miles per gallon on the highway and right around 30 miles per gallon on the highway. There is also a more powerful option that many people choose for the extra boost in performance. The 3.6-liter, V-6 engine has the ability to make a maximum of 283 horsepower with a six-speed automatic transmission sending that power to a front-wheel drive drivetrain.

Allusions can be made to the muscle car ancestry of the 2014 Dodge Avenger thanks to several less than subtle exterior design elements. First and foremost, the crosshair grille is the quintessential mark of a Dodge sedan or coupe. Additionally, the various sculpted features like the power dome on the hood and the pronounced chin on the front bumper combine with subtle wheel-well flares to give the 2014 Dodge Avenger muscular look with an aggressive stance on the road. On the interior, potential buyers will see a very well appointed passenger cabin that is equal parts driver comfort and performance addition. The seats feature side bolsters to keep the driver secure when the 2014 Avenger is being put through its paces.

The explosion of new web/cloud/IoT-based applications and the data they generate are transforming our world right before our eyes. In this rush to adopt these new technologies, organizations are often ignoring fundamental questions concerning who owns the data and failing to ask for permission to conduct invasive surveillance of their customers. Organizations that are not transparent about how their systems gather data telemetry without offering shared data ownership risk product rejection, regu...

When building large, cloud-based applications that operate at a high scale, it's important to maintain a high availability and resilience to failures. In order to do that, you must be tolerant of failures, even in light of failures in other areas of your application. "Fly two mistakes high" is an old adage in the radio control airplane hobby. It means, fly high enough so that if you make a mistake, you can continue flying with room to still make mistakes. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Le...
When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Containers and Kubernetes allow for code portability across on-premise VMs, bare metal, or multiple cloud provider environments. Yet, despite this portability promise, developers may include configuration and application definitions that constrain or even eliminate application portability. We will demonstrate how a properly constructed containerized app can be deployed to both Amazon and Azure ...
