OBJE: Mobile Gaming’s Big Growth Set to Continue

Obscene Interactive, the gaming division of OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE), is forging ahead with new game licensing and development deals after the latest round of encouraging data from 2013 was released earlier this month.

Market intelligence firm SuperData recently reported that the digital games market in the U.S. continued its trend of strong growth in 2013, rising 11 percent in sales from $10.6 billion a year in 2012 to $11.8 billion last year. The mobile games segment, in particular, enjoyed tremendous growth, with spending growing 28 percent from $1.9 billion in 2012 to $2.8 billion in 2013.

In December, mobile games set a new record with $317 million in monthly aggregate sales, according to SuperData.

That’s exciting news for OBJE, which is readying new gaming products for the marketplace in 2014 to capture a growing share of the industry’s phenomenal growth. In addition to developing its own titles, the company is currently in talks with game-maker Corv Studios about potentially licensing Pac-Balla title that has already surpassed 1.5 million downloads across the Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Play and Amazon Apps stores. OBJE believes it has identified new ways to improve the application and optimize revenues.

The company is working to build a robust portfolio of engaging new content to capitalize on the explosion in gaming across the globe. The company earned its first revenues last year by releasing new games including PhantasmicBluff Wars and Creature Tavern.

Through its gaming division, Obscene Interactive, OBJE is working to deliver many more innovative gaming products for the Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) App Store and Google Play market alongside companies such as Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: GLUU) and The9 Limited (NASDAQ: NCTY).
