NEW YORK, Jan. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Ticket Down (www.ticketdown.com) announces that one of the most loved heavy metal rock and roll groups of all time, Motley Crue, has announced what is set to be their final tour. The group also announced that they signed what is essentially called a "death pact," which negates the chances of the group ever performing together again under that name. The Los Angeles-based group formed in 1981 and has become one of the most influential groups in their genre ever since. The final leg of their final tour will kick off in Grand Rapids, Mich. on July 2 and will conclude at the end of 2015 after touring the world with rock and roll legend, Alice Cooper.

Motley Crue consists of Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee. Over the years, all of which have gained extra fame for their actions outside the music business, but to their loyal fans, they will be known mostly for what they did together as Motley Crue. The group has released nine studio albums, two live albums, six compilation albums, three EPs, four box sets, nine DVDs and 28 singles. In their catalog of records, six albums reached the top 10 on the album charts in the United States including their only No. 1 record, Dr. Feelgood.

Dr. Feelgood was the best-selling record of their career, becoming certified platinum six times by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than six million copies in the States. The group also had four other records reach platinum status including Shout at the Devil, Theatre of Pain, Too Fast for Love and Girls, Girls, Girls. In the past 20 years, their albums haven't been as successful, but all but two reached gold status for selling more than 500,000 copies. Their most recent release came in 2008 and was certified gold in Canada, as well as reached the No. 4 spot on the American charts.

Fans of the heavy metal legends will want to visit as many tour dates as possible to them before they hang it up for good. These fans will want to hear all of their classic hits including "Dr. Feelgood," "Kickstart my Heart," "Without You," "Girls, Girls, Girls," and "Smokin' in the Boys Room." These songs all became mainstream hits, but their true fans will want to hear them perform other songs in their catalog that aren't as well-known to the general public including "Live Wire," "Bitter Pill," "Hell on High Heels," and "Hooligan's Holiday."

The group decided to mutually end their time together at the conclusion of this tour to make sure they went out the right way. Their attorney, Doug Mark, said it best, "Other bands have split up over rancor or the inability of people to get along, but this is mutual among all four original members and a peaceful decision to move on to other endeavors and to confirm it with a binding agreement."
