Appcelerator Hires Technology Industry Veteran Mario Cavagnari as Vice President of Japan and Latin America Sales to Fuel Global Expansion

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/31/14 -- Appcelerator®, the leading mobile enterprise platform company, announced that it has appointed Mario Cavagnari as Vice President of Japan and Latin America Sales. Cavagnari has a strong track record of leading high-performing sales teams in Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and North America. Cavagnari joins from SimplyBox, where he was co-founder and CEO. Prior to SimplyBox, he was Vice President for Worldwide Sales at Apple's PowerSchool Division and at Saratoga Systems.

Cavagnari's appointment comes as Appcelerator is ramping investments in these two crucial regions, which are home to more than 70,000 Appcelerator developers. Enterprises across Japan and Latin America have been growing and modernizing, making the regions increasingly important as they seek to capitalize on the opportunities of mobile.
