Downtown Columbia Hotel Earns 5th Consecutive Service of Excellence Award

Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbia Northeast Achieves Gold Hotel Award for 2013

COLUMBIA, SC -- (Marketwired) -- 01/31/14 -- In an ever-changing world, consistency can be difficult to find. While the Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbia Northeast has certainly evolved since opening in December 2008, two important factors have remained the same. This year, the Columbia, SC hotel near downtown was honored with a Marriott Service Excellence Award, which it has won every year since it opened, due in large part to its dedicated team, which has remained the same since the start.

This is the fifth consecutive Marriott Service Excellence Award for the Columbia, SC hotel near Fort Jackson. Since 2008, the hotel has received the Silver Hotel Award, in addition to the Most Improved Hotel Award in 2009, and 2013 marks the first time the hotel ranks in the Gold category with a mark of 45/700. As a Silver Hotel Award winner, properties must be within the top 20% of the brand in the overall Guest Satisfaction Survey, while Gold Hotel Award winners must be within the top 10%.

The 2013 award will be presented in April or May 2014, and will add another glass trophy to the mantle at these hotel rooms in Columbia, SC. David Lenk, the hotel's General Manager mentions "It's a testament to our dedicated team, which has remained the same since our opening, that we have won an award every year since 2008."

The Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbia Northeast is based on a solid foundation of attentive service and hard work, but it doesn't hurt that the property also offers some desirable amenities. Guests enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi both in their room and around the property, and a delicious hot breakfast is on the house every morning. Being on the road can make it difficult to maintain a healthy routine, so here visitors can access a fitness center, pool and peaceful rock garden, perfect for meditation or a relaxing stroll.

We’ve worked with dozens of early adopters across numerous industries and will debunk common misperceptions, which starts with understanding that many of the connected products we’ll use over the next 5 years are already products, they’re just not yet connected. With an IoT product, time-in-market provides much more essential feedback than ever before. Innovation comes from what you do with the data that the connected product provides in order to enhance the customer experience and optimize busi...

A critical component of any IoT project is the back-end systems that capture data from remote IoT devices and structure it in a way to answer useful questions. Traditional data warehouse and analytical systems are mature technologies that can be used to handle large data sets, but they are not well suited to many IoT-scale products and the need for real-time insights. At Fuze, we have developed a backend platform as part of our mobility-oriented cloud service that uses Big Data-based approache...
See storage differently! Storage performance problems have only gotten worse and harder to solve as applications have become largely virtualized and moved to a cloud-based infrastructure. In the case of an application outage, what was the root cause of the outage?
