In an attempt to damage the hotel's popularity a wave of fake accounts have appeared online accusing the Mayan Palace of operating fraudulently.
CANCUN, Mexico, Jan. 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Most businesses are no stranger to online attacks, but anytime these reports start surfacing it's important to differentiate the rumors from the truth. When the fraud claims are examined and compared to online reviews, both recent and older, a picture starts to emerge that paints the Mayan Palace in a favorable light. As of this writing the 7 most recent reviews for Mayan Palace on Trip Advisor give it either 4 or 5 stars out of 5, declaring it to be "the perfect resort to visit at the perfect time of year with perfect weather" with "great staff, grounds and service."
Going solely off of the advice of vacationers to the resort, some of them having traveled all over the world, it would be difficult to believe that this is the same luxury hotel that is mentioned in the attack pieces. The reports of a Mayan Palace fraud began to emerge so quickly that guests have begun leaving reviews to inform future vacationers that they have nothing to fear from the Mayan Palace.
So is there any truth to the Mayan Palace fraud rumors? When a comparison is made between what the resort is accused of and the experiences that recent guests have discussed it becomes abundantly clear that these allegations have been blatantly fabricated. When a company reaches a certain level of acclaim from its customers it opens itself up to attacks like this one that are designed to hurt its business and its guests.
The reports of a Mayan Palace fraud are nothing more than rumors and gossip, designed to be spread around message boards and cast doubt in the minds of those who haven't yet experienced what its loyal followers already know: The Mayan Palace is one of the most trustworthy resorts in operation today.
