NATIONAL HARBOR, Md., Feb. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DDC Advocacy (DDCA), a leading full-service international issue advocacy firm, today announced James C. Lake as its incoming Executive Vice President. Lake, a public affairs and advocacy specialist with thirty years of experience, will oversee client development and client relations as DDC Advocacy continues to expand its domestic and international client base and deliver data-driven, technology-enabled advocacy solutions in strategic engagement campaigns worldwide.

Lake brings three decades of corporate, government and campaign experience with him to DDCA. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President at McBee Strategic where he was responsible for overseeing domestic and international development, digital strategy and counsel for corporate and government clients. Prior to its merger with McBee, he was President and Partner at Gibraltar Associates where he managed the firm's DC office and expanded the roster of top-tier clients for the firm. Previously, he served for over six years at Burson-Marsteller as Chairman of their U.S. Public Affairs Practice where he oversaw operations in eight offices and managed global issue and advocacy engagement efforts and public education campaigns.
Nationally recognized for his brand management abilities in the political and public affairs fields, Lake is also a veteran of the Reagan Administration's Office of Presidential Advance and the Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration under President George H. W. Bush.
