EXL Wins Aon Hewitt Voice of Employee Award

Honor underscores company's focus on attracting and retaining global talent

NEW YORK and NEW DELHI, Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- EXL (NASDAQ: EXLS), a leading business process solutions (BPS) company, today announced that it recently earned the "The Aon Hewitt Voice of Employee Award" for the IT and ITeS sector in India. This award, based on employee opinion scores, illustrates EXL's investment in its people practices that attract and retain strong talent who generate business impact for EXL's clients.

"Given our culture of employee care and our commitment to build unique capabilities and careers, this recognition is another milestone in our journey to create a high-performance workforce that delivers unparalleled value to our clients," said Mohan AVK, EXL Executive Vice President and Global Head of HR.

For 12 years, Aon Hewitt has conducted workforce performance surveys through their Best Employers model to provide insights on companies that use people to create a competitive advantage and are established as a workplace of choice. Their research provides evidence that committed workforces attain higher profit growth and lower turnover.

The honor signifies that EXL achieves another milestone to create a highly engaged workforce that drives high performance and delivers unparalleled value to clients. EXL celebrated receiving this award at a ceremony organized by Aon Hewitt on January 15, 2014, in New Delhi, India.

"EXL's investment in integrating its business and people strategies to align people-centric initiatives with business results has resulted in a great combination of commendable business results and an engaged workforce. For instance, the performance management system, iExCEL, which links employees' performance with various other people processes in the company such as talent management, career management, performance and development has resulted in reduced attrition and improved employee engagement in the organization," said Tarandeep Singh, Aon Hewitt Partner and Engagement Practice Leader. "The Aon Hewitt Voice of Employee Award reflects the good work EXL is doing for its industry."

Aon Hewitt conducted the employer survey using a proven data-driven approach to define best employers using three data sources - employees, HR and business leadership. The data for the study is gathered through the Employee Opinion Survey (EOS), People Practices Inventory (PPI) and the CEO Questionnaire (CEO), followed by a physical audit by a team of consultants from Aon Hewitt and an independent assessment by an external panel of judges.
