Swedish Transport Administration selects CGI to manage workplace modernization program as part of new partnership

Second award will cover 11,000 workplaces at 120 locations in Sweden

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN -- (Marketwired) -- 02/04/14 -- CGI (NYSE: GIB)(TSX: GIB.A) has signed a new agreement with the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) to modernize 11,000 workplaces in 120 locations across Sweden, including workplace computers, hardware, e-mail, digital meeting services and more. The estimated value of the five-year agreement with a two year option period is 500 million SEK (approx. CAD $85 million).

Part of the Swedish Transport Administration's overall IT sourcing strategy, the modernization initiative is designed to drive efficiencies, productivity and cost savings. CGI will provide comprehensive modernization and operation services, including an initial project to upgrade all workplaces to Windows 8.1. CGI will assume responsibility for the agency's workplace IT services immediately.

The Swedish Transport Administration is responsible for the long-term planning of Swedish transport systems, as well as state road networks and the country's national railway network. Headquartered in Borlange, it has 6,500 employees.

CGI previously announced another agreement with Trafikverket on January 23, 2014, to deliver comprehensive application management and development services, with an estimated total contract value of 1.3 billion SEK (approx. CAD $220 million) over a four-year base with a two plus one year option period.
