HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 02/04/14 -- The American Marketing Association (AMA) Houston chapter is hosting the AMA's nationally recognized Marketing Planning Boot Camp. This professional development program is designed to provide the tools needed to build the elements of an effective marketing plan. With attendees registered from many locations, this boot camp offers local participants national-level learning right here in Houston. The intensive boot camp will take place Wednesday, February 19th through Thursday, February 20th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Bank of America Building, 2302 Fannin, Suite 200, Houston, TX 77002.
The ability to develop the elements of a marketing plan is a critical success factor for marketing and business professionals. The consultative training will allow attendees to work with peers in a small group setting under close supervision of an expert in marketing plan development. In a sneak peek podcast by instructor Greg Marshall, he explains how the session is designed to address the challenges people experience and the road map needed to put your plan in motion.
Participants of the AMA Marketing Planning Boot Camp will learn why a marketing plan must effectively fit in with the overall business planning process, what constitutes an effective marketing plan and how to create and apply planning components.
The hands-on portion includes applying:
- A situation and competitor analysis
- Marketing objectives, action plans
- Market segmentation, target marketing, positioning and marketing mix strategy approaches
- Appropriate metrics to monitor plan success
Attendees will also gain additional insight on how to articulate the executive report of the marketing plan, and walk away with resources to use as a process guide for future plan development.
Registration is $800 for AMA members and $1000 for non-members. Attendees are asked to register at http://www.amahouston.net.
