impreMedia Introduces Celebrity Photo Site Flashpik.com for Hispanic Millenials

Capitalizing on the ubiquity of mobile content consumption among the Latino community in the U.S., impreMedia announced today the launch of Flashpik.com, the country’s first celebrity photo-based website for the U.S. Hispanic millennial market.

Featuring global celebrity content, Flashpik.com was created with the user in mind and was designed to keep audiences entertained with light and clever, curated content. The new site also enables fans to engage through a fun interactive tool that allows them to voice their opinions on the photos.

The new site launch comes at a time of significant digital audience growth at impreMedia, which now reaches in excess of 5 million online and mobile visitors monthly and makes up the biggest share, at 44 percent, of impreMedia’s total audience composition; currently, 69 percent of impreMedia’s total digital audience comes from mobile devices compared to 51 percent in 2012. Prior to this year, impreMedia’s reach was driven mostly by its network of newspapers and magazines.

“We’re experiencing tremendous growth across all of our digital properties thanks to our robust community of highly engaged, socially active mobile users,” said Ivan Adaime, VP Digital. “The launch of Flashpik.com not only marks our first major product initiative in the mobile space but is also a testament to the commitment we’ve made to innovating and delivering to each of our audience segments, in this case the burgeoning Latino millennial market, a market advertisers are vying to reach.”

Using responsive design, Flashpik.com is the first product developed by impreMedia specifically for mobile audiences and second in a series of vertical products custom created by the digital group that enables impreMedia to enhance its content offering, expand product reach and provide prime custom advertising options for local and national brands across multiple screens and devices including digital, mobile and tablets.

A critical component of any IoT project is what to do with all the data being generated. I wanted to gather all of my Internet of Things (IOT) blogs into a single blog (that I could later use with my University of San Francisco (USF) Big Data “MBA” course). However as I started to pull these blogs together, I realized that my IOT discussion lacked a vision; it lacked an end point towards which an organization could drive their IOT envisioning, proof of value, app dev, data engineering and data science efforts.
