MFX partners with DrivenBI and Return on Efficiency to launch self-service content analytics and dashboards to their customers on their Integrated Insurance Platform

MFX today announced it is partnering with DrivenBI and Return on Efficiency, empowering their customers to uncover deeper analytics and operational insights in entirely new ways. MFX is offering a one-stop shop for its customers by unifying, analyzing and presenting data analytics from multiple functional areas of P&C insurance operations in shareable and actionable report snapshots and a real-time intuitive dashboard experience. The self-service analytics platform is thoroughly incorporated within MFX’s proven Integrated Insurance Platform (IIP) allowing end-users to “socialize” their actionable data analytics, acting immediately on their results to send alerts and notifications, delegate tasks, and share commentary. MFX will turn its depth and breadth of transactional information into operational, living reporting and insights, as defined, and created, by their end users themselves.

“MFX is very pleased to be working with DrivenBI and Return on Efficiency to bring a new level of business intelligence and reporting capability to our clients,” said Raymond A. Roy, Chairman and CEO of MFX. “Being able to access, manipulate and report on available data is crucial to today’s insurance carriers, particularly when data is transformed into usable information that can help our clients better manage their businesses. DrivenBI and Return on Efficiency understand that need. Their reporting and analytics tools, in conjunction with our end-to-end IIP, will truly enable our insurance clients to access this information more quickly and provide to them a superior level of service, allowing them to better understand and grow their business in new ways.”

“We are excited to partner with MFX and Return on Efficiency and to incorporate the next generation of self-service analysis engine, SRK, into MFX’s IIP platform because we believe that SRK’s user-driven data analytics raises the bar on how MFX customers will achieve the best insights into their operations, simply, elegantly and in a fraction of the time of other solutions. Our goal is to make data analytics work for business users, not the other way around,” said Ben Tai, CEO and founder of DrivenBI.

“By allowing its end-users flexible access to the wealth of information available in their IIP solution, MFX will quickly have a significant competitive advantage and provide additional value to their customers”, said Richard Eichen, Managing Principal of Return on Efficiency, LLC. He then added, “We leverage our Insurance operations and technology knowledge with SRK’s rapid implementation capability to build and launch user-driven data analytics and dashboards at our clients in significantly less time and cost as compared to other solutions.

The cloud promises new levels of agility and cost-savings for Big Data, data warehousing and analytics. But it’s challenging to understand all the options – from IaaS and PaaS to newer services like HaaS (Hadoop as a Service) and BDaaS (Big Data as a Service). In her session at @BigDataExpo at @ThingsExpo, Hannah Smalltree, a director at Cazena, provided an educational overview of emerging “as-a-service” options for Big Data in the cloud. This is critical background for IT and data professionals...

Enterprise IT has been in the era of Hybrid Cloud for some time now. But it seems most conversations about Hybrid are focused on integrating AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google ECM into existing on-premises systems. Where is all the Private Cloud? What do technology providers need to do to make their offerings more compelling? How should enterprise IT executives and buyers define their focus, needs, and roadmap, and communicate that clearly to the providers?

Complete Internet of Things (IoT) embedded device security is not just about the device but involves the entire product’s identity, data and control integrity, and services traversing the cloud. A device can no longer be looked at as an island; it is a part of a system. In fact, given the cross-domain interactions enabled by IoT it could be a part of many systems. Also, depending on where the device is deployed, for example, in the office building versus a factory floor or oil field, security ha...
In addition to all the benefits, IoT is also bringing new kind of customer experience challenges - cars that unlock themselves, thermostats turning houses into saunas and baby video monitors broadcasting over the internet. This list can only increase because while IoT services should be intuitive and simple to use, the delivery ecosystem is a myriad of potential problems as IoT explodes complexity. So finding a performance issue is like finding the proverbial needle in the haystack.
The idea of comparing data in motion (at the sensor level) to data at rest (in a Big Data server warehouse) with predictive analytics in the cloud is very appealing to the industrial IoT sector. The problem Big Data vendors have, however, is access to that data in motion at the sensor location. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Scott Allen, CMO of FreeWave, discussed how as IoT is increasingly adopted by industrial markets, there is going to be an increased demand for sensor data from the outermos...
Between 2005 and 2020, data volumes will grow by a factor of 300 – enough data to stack CDs from the earth to the moon 162 times. This has come to be known as the ‘big data’ phenomenon. Unfortunately, traditional approaches to handling, storing and analyzing data aren’t adequate at this scale: they’re too costly, slow and physically cumbersome to keep up. Fortunately, in response a new breed of technology has emerged that is cheaper, faster and more scalable. Yet, in meeting these new needs they...
