Teachers and Administrators Can Now Assess Learning Outcomes Mastery with Schoology

Schoology today announced the ability to measure student mastery of learning outcomes and standards, providing unprecedented insight within its comprehensive learning management system (LMS). This latest enhancement to the Enterprise version of Schoology allows it to measure and quantify student learning over time using any learning object (quizzes, homework, projects, and test items) that is aligned to outcomes.

Now with Schoology teachers are able to see an ongoing picture of student competency to determine if students can repeat high-level performance, which is an indication of concept mastery. For K-12 educators, Schoology comes pre-loaded with state and Common Core standards, while custom learning outcomes can be added at any time.

“Standards mastery shouldn’t be tracked in third-party systems or in yet another tool educators must learn in order to gauge mastery,” added Friedman. “For almost a year, teachers have been able to align content and items within Schoology to standards and custom learning outcomes, and today we’ve completed the circle to truly personalized instruction.”
