TIS successfully concludes business year 2013 and sets trends in Treasury management for 2014

Many companies will remember 2013 as the "Year of the SEPA migration". One of those profiting from this is the Walldorf headquartered company TIS with its SEPA "Out-of-the-Box" solution. Early on, TIS foresaw the treasury trends of today and offered cloud-based payment transaction systems that include solutions matched to the current needs in mandate management, bank account management, bank transaction management and bank fee controlling. Numerous new customers confirm that the company chose the path to success.

TIS is the leading cloud platform for management of enterprise-wide payment processes ranging from liquidity control to bank relationship management. The SEPA "Out-of-the-Box" solution from TIS processes all major bank connection protocols, channels (Host-to-Host, SWIFT or EBICS) and formats and automatically converts these to conform to the applicable SEPA guidelines. An integrated Direct Debit mandate management system centrally monitors and controls all global mandate processes. In 2013, a great number of companies exploited this option to make themselves SEPA-ready without the need for tedious and complicated IT projects.

Globally active concerns, such as DACHSER, Fujitsu Technology Solutions GmbH, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and Swiss International Air Lines, are already daily using TIS solutions and profit from decreased costs and increased transparency in their international payment transactions as well as in the administration of their bank accounts. Within the framework of its SAP roll-outs in 2013, the logistics service provider DACHSER implemented the TIS Cloud Platform for payment transactions with many countries – Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Austria, the Czech Republic and Hong Kong. Additionally undertaken was a SEPA project involving migration of a multitude of bank accounts, principally in Germany.

TIS was also able to win over many other well-known medium-sized enterprises as new customers in Germany during 2013. These companies employ the TIS Cloud Platform to centralise their payment transactions and thereby put into practice straight-through processing, cashflow transparency and adherence to compliance guidelines. TIS likewise augmented its international clientele, for example, when Tullow Oil in the UK opted for integration of TIS products in its operations.

Last year, TIS expanded its cloud-based payment transaction platform to include mandate management. In doing so, mandates are completely liberated from the ERP system(s) and bundled in a payment transaction solution that runs as a central process. The TIS Cloud Platform thus enables companies to centralise their mandate management in an audit-proof manner and irrespective of the ERP system(s) used.

The highest priority of TIS is the security of its cloud solutions: As a result of ISO 27001 certification, the TIS Cloud Platform meets the highest industry standards. Compliance to demanding international security standards is guaranteed by regular testing and auditing of an information security management system (ISMS).

In order to inform new customers and interested parties about current topics, TIS regularly stages webinars with external experts. Details and registration information are available at http://www.tis.biz/de/events/tis-webinare/.

When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...

Poor data quality and analytics drive down business value. In fact, Gartner estimated that the average financial impact of poor data quality on organizations is $9.7 million per year. But bad data is much more than a cost center. By eroding trust in information, analytics and the business decisions based on these, it is a serious impediment to digital transformation.
When applications are hosted on servers, they produce immense quantities of logging data. Quality engineers should verify that apps are producing log data that is existent, correct, consumable, and complete. Otherwise, apps in production are not easily monitored, have issues that are difficult to detect, and cannot be corrected quickly. Tom Chavez presents the four steps that quality engineers should include in every test plan for apps that produce log output or other machine data. Learn the ste...
To Really Work for Enterprises, MultiCloud Adoption Requires Far Better and Inclusive Cloud Monitoring and Cost Management … But How? When building large, cloud-based applications that operate at a high scale, it's important to maintain a high availability and resilience to failures. In order to do that, you must be tolerant of failures, even in light of failures in other areas of your application. "Fly two mistakes high" is an old adage in the radio control airplane hobby. It means, fly high enough so that if you make a mistake, you can continue flying with room to still make mistakes. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Le...
