BRONX, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 02/06/14 -- In an effort to provide patients with better access to state-of-the-art dental and orthodontic treatments, Dr. Victor Oelbaum & Associates will be hosting an Invisalign® Day event at their Bronx dentistry practice from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, February 17th. During this time, patients will receive a complimentary Invisalign® consultation from cosmetic dentist Victor Oelbaum, DDS and/or orthodontist Mita Parikh, DMD, as well as $1,000 off their entire Invisalign® treatment. Space is limited for the event, and appointments can be scheduled by calling the practice at 718-882-7202.
Asked about the practice's goal for Invisalign® Day, Dr. Parikh replied, "The first step for dental and orthodontic care is being made aware of what the current issue is, as well as what that issue can lead to if left untreated. If Invisalign® Day brings patients through the door for the first step, then we're making them aware of what their current issue is -- in this case, misaligned teeth -- as well as potential repercussions of misaligned teeth if left untreated, aside from obvious aesthetic concerns.
"In addition to that, we might be able to make patients aware of other preexisting issues that need to be addressed, not just from an orthodontic perspective, but also from a dental perspective. So, although Invisalign® itself is an orthodontic treatment, Invisalign® Day is an opportunity to make patients aware of their overall dental health."
About Invisalign® Clear Braces
When compared to traditional, metal braces, Dr. Parikh says Invisalign® offers some distinct advantages: "Invisalign® aligners are customized to the individual's unique needs. They are made specifically for what that particular person's bite needs in order to get from point 'A' to point 'B,' so to speak. Additionally, the invisibility of the teeth-straightening treatment is unprecedented. Patients are basically transforming their mouths without anybody really knowing what's going on."
Furthermore, Invisalign® can often be advantageous in terms of oral hygiene and overall dental health. "What's particularly nice, is that the aligners are made to be taken in and out so that patients can eat, brush, and floss like they normally would if they weren't wearing an alignment system," notes Dr. Parikh. "As a result, food particles and such that typically get stuck in the teeth are easier to remove and clean than with traditional braces, ultimately helping patients decrease their risk of developing cavities, gum disease, and other oral issues further down the road."
Regarding whom patients should consult when considering Invisalign®, Dr. Parikh suggests that while many dental professionals are qualified to provide Invisalign®, orthodontists can often be ideal candidates due to their additional schooling and specialized training in areas such as tooth alignment and occlusion.
As far as cost is concerned, patients of Dr. Victor Oelbaum & Associates may qualify to take advantage of CareCredit and other payment plans to help finance their treatment.

There is an ever-growing explosion of new devices that are connected to the Internet using “cloud” solutions. This rapid growth is creating a massive new demand for efficient access to data. And it’s not just about connecting to that data anymore. This new demand is bringing new issues and challenges and it is important for companies to scale for the coming growth. And with that scaling comes the need for greater security, gathering and data analysis, storage, connectivity and, of course, the...

In the world of DevOps there are ‘known good practices’ – aka ‘patterns’ – and ‘known bad practices’ – aka ‘anti-patterns.' Many of these patterns and anti-patterns have been developed from real world experience, especially by the early adopters of DevOps theory; but many are more feasible in theory than in practice, especially for more recent entrants to the DevOps scene. In this power panel at @DevOpsSummit at 18th Cloud Expo, moderated by DevOps Conference Chair Andi Mann, panelists will dis...

We’ve worked with dozens of early adopters across numerous industries and will debunk common misperceptions, which starts with understanding that many of the connected products we’ll use over the next 5 years are already products, they’re just not yet connected. With an IoT product, time-in-market provides much more essential feedback than ever before. Innovation comes from what you do with the data that the connected product provides in order to enhance the customer experience and optimize busi...
