InspectionXpert Corporation Announces Strategic Alliance With Dassault Systemes SolidWorks Corporation

RALEIGH, NC -- (Marketwired) -- 02/06/14 -- InspectionXpert Corporation announced today a new global licensing, marketing and distribution agreement with Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corporation.

Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corporation, commonly known as "SolidWorks" is one of the leading suppliers of software application programs in the fields of Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Product Data Management (PDM), and interactive experience of 3D content. InspectionXpert is one of the leading providers of productivity enhancement tools for manufacturing and quality inspection. Under this strategic relationship, SolidWorks will begin selling certain InspectionXpert software products through its worldwide value added reseller channel. The new solution will be branded as SolidWorks Inspection.

"Since SolidWorks is one of the leading design and product data management solution providers in manufacturing markets across the world, this agreement gives us unprecedented exposure and the opportunity for accelerated market share," said Jeff Cope, CEO of InspectionXpert. "SolidWorks products are known as easy to learn and use and that fits perfectly with our mission to help make quality management and inspection more effective and faster, from the small machine shop to global OEMs."

The increasing demand for integrated and powerful software solutions for product design and manufacturing quality processes is a key area of focus for both companies. InspectionXpert recently announced its fifth year of double digit growth, with a 75% increase in gross revenues over the prior year. InspectionXpert has rapidly become a recognized leading innovator of quality process automation across an expanding, global client base of manufacturing industry segments including aerospace, defense, medical device, alternative energy, automotive and construction equipment, oil and gas, and machine or job shops.

"InspectionXpert's emergence as one of the fastest growing quality management and inspection solutions and their innovative approach to key areas of the product design and quality management functions was very attractive to our company," said Bertrand Sicot, CEO for SolidWorks Corporation. "Now our resellers can offer even more value and our end users will be able to buy and use InspectionXpert software applications as part of the new SolidWorks Inspection bundled solution, increasing productivity and return on investment."

Under the new agreement, SolidWorks resellers will be able to sell InspectionXpert software products as part of a growing portfolio of SolidWorks solutions. InspectionXpert will focus on the fast-growing on-demand, cloud-based, and OEM-customized application opportunities which will provide all companies in the product manufacturing value stream new capabilities to easily and cost effectively improve their quality and inspection processes. In addition, the new quality management professional services being offered by InspectionXpert Services Corporation are increasing the ways companies can use InspectionXpert as their single source for quality improvement.

"We are excited to support SolidWorks resellers and increase the value for all our users," said Gretchen Bazeley, Director of Business Development. "Our SolidWorks relationship is another way we can increase our visibility and value to all suppliers and manufacturers who need to improve quality management and productivity."

InspectionXpert software increases efficiencies and the accuracy of quality inspections and documentation, providing manufacturing companies and their supply chains with the flexibility to easily and cost effectively improve their quality and inspection processes.

As enterprises around the world struggle with their digital transformation efforts, many are finding that innovative digital teams are moving much faster than their hidebound IT organizations. Rather than struggling to convince traditional IT to get with the digital program, executives are taking advice from IT research firm Gartner, and encouraging existing IT to continue in their desultory ways. However, many CIOs are realizing the dangers of following Gartner’s advice. The central challenge ...

A critical component of any IoT project is the back-end systems that capture data from remote IoT devices and structure it in a way to answer useful questions. Traditional data warehouse and analytical systems are mature technologies that can be used to handle large data sets, but they are not well suited to many IoT-scale products and the need for real-time insights. At Fuze, we have developed a backend platform as part of our mobility-oriented cloud service that uses Big Data-based approache...

Consumers have some idea of the data these devices capture, but most don’t realize how revealing and...
As the rapid adoption of containers continues, companies are finding that they lack the operational tools to understand the behavior of applications deployed in these containers, and how to identify issues in their application infrastructure. For example, how are multiple containers within an application impacting each other’s performance? If an application’s service is degraded, which container is to blame? In the case of an application outage, what was the root cause of the outage?
When it comes to IoT in the enterprise, namely the commercial building and hospitality markets, a benefit not getting the attention it deserves is energy efficiency, and IoT's direct impact on a cleaner, greener environment when installed in smart buildings. There didn't exist a 'top down' approach that can manage and monitor the way a Smart Buildi...

In the world of DevOps there are ‘known good practices’ – aka ‘patterns’ – and ‘known bad practices’ – aka ‘anti-patterns.' Many of these patterns and anti-patterns have been developed from real world experience, especially by the early adopters of DevOps theory; but many are more feasible in theory than in practice, especially for more recent entrants to the DevOps scene. In this power panel at @DevOpsSummit at 18th Cloud Expo, moderated by DevOps Conference Chair Andi Mann, panelists will dis...
