Aberdeen, 06 February - Petrotechnics, the global leader in transforming frontline operational performance and lowering operational risk is pleased to announce its main sponsorship of Oil & Gas UK's popular series of six Aberdeen Business Breakfasts that are run over the year.
The sponsorship is part of Petrotechnics' ongoing initiative to work with the UK's most prominent industry associations to promote the sharing of ideas, lively debate and networking across the Aberdeen based Oil & Gas ecosystem. Oil & Gas UK's Business Breakfast Series provides a key platform where professionals across the entire supply chain from contractors to technology vendors to operators can gather, share knowledge, and make pragmatic decisions to drive positive change across the industry.
This year's series will explore a broad range of important industry subjects including the safety of offshore/onshore workers, operational risk and increased production efficiency. The breakfasts regularly attract up to 600 guests, including senior oil and gas industry figures, influential members of the local business community and local and national politicians.
The first breakfast will be around the review of the Annual Survey on 26th February at the Aberdeen Exhibition Centre. 2013 had the potential to be a transformational year - as we saw the highest ever capital spend on the UK continental shelf (UKCS). However, with latest figures illustrating the tough state of exploration in Britain's waters, now more than ever - we cannot afford to be complacent. Attendees will be the first to hear what lies in store when the findings of the latest Oil & Gas UK Activity Survey are revealed.
Petrotechnics' CEO, Phil Murray explains: "With a 25 year track record of providing innovative software solutions to help oil and gas operators simplify the complexities of frontline operations; supporting Oil & Gas UK's efforts to promote debate and concerted action to continually progress the UK Oil and Gas industry was a natural decision. We're proud to be sponsoring events that will bring professionals from all spectrums of the industry to network, share and learn with lively debate and new insights."
Oil & Gas UK's Business Development Director, Stephen Marcos Jones commented on the partnership: "We are delighted that Petrotechnics will be sponsoring our Business Breakfasts in 2014. Oil & Gas UK established the Business Breakfasts in the late nineties, since then the events have gone from strength to strength, with attendance increasing almost six-fold in the past decade, with up to 600 industry influencers attending every breakfast here in Aberdeen - Europe's Oil and Gas capital." "Our programme begins this month with a breakfast looking at the launch of Oil & Gas UK's Activity Survey on 26 February. Throughout the next year, we will hope to feature topics and speakers addressing the key issues facing our industry," added Jones.
