CIMA Group, a telecommunication services holding company based in Miami, Florida operating in more than 10 countries with over 32 years of experience in the industry, announced today that its Board of Directors has unanimously approved a succession plan for the executive management of the Company. Effective February 1, 2014, Juan Martin Gomez was promoted to Chief Executive Officer and Daniel R. Contreras, previous CEO, was appointed Member of the Board of Directors.
In his new role as CEO, Juan Martin Gomez will assume overall responsibility for all CIMA Group entities namely: Anew Broadband, Auris, CIMA Telecom, Hola America and RSL Telecom, with a new business vision to implement a long-term growth strategy while providing leadership to accelerate global business results.

Contreras, past CEO and newly appointed Director to the CIMA Group Board.

In his nearly 8 years at CIMA Group, Juan Martin Gomez held a COO position, successfully driving business innovation and record growth. Under his leadership, CIMA Telecom and Auris grew to handle more than 7 Billion minutes a year, providing termination and platform services worldwide.
Moreover, Auris’ continued innovation resulted in multiple new services focused on: Retail, Wholesale, Top-Up and Portal distribution, which continues to provide the Telecom industry with the latest technologies available, making it simple to become profitable and efficient.
Juan Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Administration from Florida International University and has participated in the Telecommunication industry for over 15 years. His business background and technology experience make him ideally suited to lead the next phase of the organization’s growth and success.
