Junction Solutions Will Implement its Multichannel Retail Solution and Microsoft Dynamics AX at Leading Retailer of Automotive Restoration Parts and Accessories

Junction Solutions, a leading provider of vertical market-specific on-premise and on-demand software applications and services for the food and beverage, CPG, life sciences, and multi-channel retail sectors, announced today it will implement Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and JunctionMCR at Eckler Industries, Inc., the leading provider of parts and accessories for classic and enthusiast automobiles, to support the retailer’s multichannel growth strategy.

Based in Titusville, Fla., Eckler’s, a target-marketer offering the most comprehensive selection of restoration parts and accessories for Chevrolet, Ford, Porsche, and Mercedes vehicles, operates three retail showrooms and distribution centers. The company offers more than 300,000 products through its catalogs, websites, and retail locations.

Eckler’s selected Junction Solutions because of the company’s extensive implementation expertise in the retail market, as well as the deep industry expertise of its consultants. The three-phased implementation calls for replacement of the retailer’s legacy systems that include ERP, order management, product information management system (PIMS), point of sale (POS), warehouse management system, and other applications.

“This implementation will streamline our systems to a unified multichannel platform that will help us promote more efficient business processes and manage our growth moving forward,” said Matt Jordan, Eckler’s CEO. “We look forward to working with Junction Solutions as they provide the platform for us to attain a single, clear view of all our channels that leads to more effective customer engagement, improved one-to-one marketing, and even higher levels of performance and service for our customers.”

“We are delighted to add this dynamic retailer to our growing base of retail customers,” said Jeff Marker, senior vice president, Retail, Junction Solutions. “Junction Solutions helps deliver on the promise of omni-channel retail by enabling retailers to deliver a consistent and personalized customer experience across all its channels.”

While DevOps most critically and famously fosters collaboration, communication, and integration through cultural change, culture is more of an output than an input. In order to actively drive cultural evolution, organizations must make substantial organizational and process changes, and adopt new technologies, to encourage a DevOps culture. Microservices are a very exciting architectural approach that many organizations are looking to as a way to accelerate innovation. Microservices promise to allow teams to move away from monolithic "ball of mud" systems, but the reality is that, in the vast majority of organizations, different projects and technologies will continue to be developed at different speeds. How to handle the dependencies between these disparate systems with different iteration cycles? Consider the "canoncial problem" ...
