NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 02/10/14 -- GRAMMY®-nominated singer/songwriter/violinist Sharon Corr is set to embark on her first ever North American solo tour. "The Same Sun Tour" gets underway February 20th at Snoqualmie, Washington's Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom and then travels through late March (see itinerary below). For complete details and ticket information, please visit www.sharoncorr.com/tour.
The tour heralds Corr's hugely anticipated new album, "THE SAME SUN," which arrives worldwide later this year. Produced in Los Angeles by multiple GRAMMY®-nominee Mitchell Froom (Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, Crowded House), the album is Corr's most intimate and organic to date, capturing her gift for timeless melodies and powerful emotion. Songs like "Take A Minute" -- already a top 20 hit in Ireland and France -- and "Full Circle" see the Brit Award-winning singer/songwriter exploring a range of influences, spanning classic folk rock to Brazilian pop, all coming together to create a distinctive and contemporary sound all her own. A deeply personal work, "THE SAME SUN" draws further inspiration from Corr's own extraordinary life experiences in recent years, including her 2012 journey to Tanzania as ambassador for Oxfam Ireland's "Ending Poverty Starts With Women" campaign.
"We Could Be Lovers," the new single/video from "THE SAME SUN" has just debuted at Corr's official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/SharonCorrOfficial. In addition, the site features such clips as the album's moving first single/video, "Take A Minute" (www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUcGcGFCcqk), as well as Corr's striking live instrumental performance of Brazilian composer Cartola's classic canção, "As Rosas Não Falam" (www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHYz1cLS_no).
Sharon Corr is of course known around the globe as a member of legendary Irish group, The Corrs. With their unique blend of Celtic folk, pop and rock, The Corrs proved one of the most popular and celebrated groups of their era, earning worldwide album sales in excess of 45 million over their incredible 15 year career. A remarkably versatile vocalist, writer (including The Corrs' UK top 10 classic, "So Young"), and multi-instrumentalist, Corr made her solo debut with 2010's "DREAM OF YOU," which drew considerable acclaim for its heartfelt songcraft, haunting production, and inventive covers. In addition to well-received tours of the UK, Ireland, and Australia, she also recently served as coach on the first two seasons of the hugely successful reality singing competition series, The Voice of Ireland.

In this strange new world where more and more power is drawn from business technology, companies are effectively straddling two paths on the road to innovation and transformation into digital enterprises. The first path is the heritage trail – with “legacy” technology forming the background. Here, extant technologies are transformed by core IT teams to provide more API-driven approaches. Legacy systems can restrict companies that are transitioning into digital enterprises. To truly become a lead...

The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to simplify and streamline our lives by automating routine tasks that distract us from our goals. This promise is based on the ubiquitous deployment of smart, connected devices that link everything from industrial control systems to automobiles to refrigerators. Unfortunately, comparatively few of the devices currently deployed have been developed with an eye toward security, and as the DDoS attacks of late October 2016 have demonstrated, this oversight can ...
