Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Launches Tubing & Hose Selector App and Dedicated Life Sciences Website at MD&M West 2014

FORT WAYNE, IN -- (Marketwired) -- 02/10/14 -- At MD&M West 2014 Conference (Booth 2290, Hall D) Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, a supplier of innovative engineered solutions to the life sciences industry for decades, is announcing the release of its new website containing essential information to support life sciences, including medical device customers. In addition to the website, a new digital product selection tool app for desktop and mobile devices, which identifies optimal tubing and hose solutions for their applications, is now available.

In order to assist an engineer in choosing from a variety of materials and designs that best suit their life sciences or medical device needs, this new Tubing & Hose Selector app will make engineers' lives easier. With easy access using an Android, iPad and iPhone, this user friendly app guides visitors along a series of steps where they can enter such design parameters as pressure, material, application, size and vacuum rating, among others, to receive the optimal product recommendation based on their selection criteria.

Jerry Zawada, Life Sciences Segment Manager for Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in the Americas, says: "Life sciences and medical equipment companies are collaborating with their suppliers to find new ways to maintain their competitiveness especially as they face tough quality and regulatory hurdles. We are thrilled to be able to provide them with digital tools for material selection that could more easily facilitate their design process, enhance their product and speed to market. We are pleased to see that the industry, while continuing to focus on extending the technical capabilities of their products, is also giving much more attention to the detailed material design of their product ranges in order to gain even more of a competitive edge."

MD&M West attendees are invited to demo the power of this new app at booth 2290 in Hall D. Trelleborg will also be exhibiting a range of its medical grade tubing, hoses, seals and bearings used in life sciences and medical device applications. Visitors to the new website will be able to access a case study library for easy access to information on specialized products and materials. In addition, the site provides pertinent information on manufacturing capabilities, LSR technology and allows visitors to request quotations and product samples. The tubing and hose app can be found in the App Store or on Google Play by searching 'Trelleborg.'
