The MT-G watch is a refined, luxury G-SHOCK series crafted at Casio's Yamagata factory in Japan and is meticulously assembled from materials and components made entirely in-house.  The timepiece employs G-SHOCK's advanced Core Guard Structure of stainless steel, resin and alpha Gel® to ensure mechanical integrity, coupled with LED - infused Tough Movement for ongoing precision - The MT-G is the epitome of modern wrist couture.

The Fall/Winter 2014 partnership between Todd Snyder and G-SHOCK MT-G consists of both product design and product integration.  Using the classic appeal of a gentleman's favorite leather armchair as inspiration - Todd Snyder developed a limited edition watch gift box that bears both the G-SHOCK & Todd Snyder logo.  The gift box is constructed out of a black stained wood exterior and dark tan leather interior.  The box will house the MTGS1000BD-1A- a version of the G-SHOCK MT-G watch that is finished in refined black Ion Plated stainless steel or the Stainless Steel version of the same model, MTGS1000D-1A.  MT-G watches will be seen on the models' wrists as they walk the runway and will also be on display backstage.

"The introduction of MT-G has been an exciting time for G-SHOCK.  The expansion of the brand within the luxury sector has made it possible for us to work with one of New York's most exciting menswear designers," says Shigenori Itoh, Chairman and CEO of Casio's Timepiece Division. "Todd Snyder's attention to detail, commitment to quality and classic style mirror all the qualities of G-SHOCK's new MT-G luxury timepiece.  This is the beginning of an exhilarating partnership with Todd."

"I am a huge fan of G-SHOCK and the first time I saw the MT-G I had to have one.  It's the perfect mix of elegance, masculinity and style.  It compliments my collection perfectly.  I designed the box to symbolize my relationship with G-SHOCK.  I used a white oak and stained it a dark charcoal.  I then laser etched the lid with our combined logo and added a burnished leather interior.  I wanted to incase the MT-G watch with the precision and elegance it deserves," says Todd Snyder, Designer.

The designer menswear label was founded by Todd Snyder in 2011. An industry veteran, Snyder's 20 year career spans experience with industry heavyweights: Ralph Lauren, Gap and J Crew.  Influenced by his Iowa upbringing, the Todd Snyder collection is rooted in American classics: tailored suiting, traditional knits and outerwear styled with thoughtful ease and finish, yet constructed using luxurious Italian and Japanese fabrics and yarns. Soon after showing his third collection in February 2012, Todd Snyder was selected as one of GQ Magazine's Best New Designers in America and nominated for the CFDA Swarovski Menswear Award, both highly coveted nominations. Spring 2013 brought another nomination as FGI named him a Menswear Rising Star Nominee. Todd Snyder is available at MR. PORTER, Barneys, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman, as well as specialty stores such as Odin, Confederacy and Ron Herman. The brand also recently launched its own e-commerce site. CASIO's shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch is synonymous with toughness, born from the developer Mr. Ibe's dream of 'creating a watch that never breaks'. Over 200 handmade samples were created and tested to destruction until finally in 1983 the first, now iconic G-SHOCK hit the streets of Japan and began to establish itself as 'the toughest watch of all time'. Each watch encompasses the 7 elements; electric shock resistance, gravity resistance, low temperature resistance, vibration resistance, water resistance, shock resistance and toughness. The watch is packed with Casio innovations and technologies to prevent it from suffering direct shock; this includes internal components protected with urethane and suspended timekeeping modules inside the watch structure. Since its launch, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve, continuing to support on Mr. Ibe's mantra "never, never give up".

A critical component of any IoT project is what to do with all the data being generated. This data needs to be captured, processed, structured, and stored in a way to facilitate different kinds of queries. Traditional data warehouse and analytical systems are mature technologies that can be used to handle certain kinds of queries, but they are not always well suited to many problems, particularly when there is a need for real-time insights.
