Aerohive’s Director of Advanced Technology to Give Keynote on Designing for 802.11ac at Wireless LAN Professional Summit 2014

Aerohive Networks®, a leader in controller-less Wi-Fi and cloud-managed mobile networking for the enterprise market, today announced that it will be participating in two speaking sessions at the Wireless LAN Professional Summit 2014. The conference will be taking place Feb. 10-12, 2014 at the Hilton Austin Airport Hotel in Austin, TX. Aerohive’s director of advanced technology Matthew Gast will be giving the opening keynote on designing for 802.11ac. In addition, Abby Strong, senior product marketing manager, will be discussing BYOD, CID and the importance of securing mobility in an iEverything enterprise.

802.11ac Isn’t Just a Phase

  • What: A major task of the IEEE 802.11 working group is the development of ever-faster wireless LAN physical layers. The latest and fastest PHY, 802.11ac promises speeds well beyond a gigabit per second. In addition to its raw speed increases, 802.11ac has several features that will increase efficiency. The wireless LAN industry is working hard to bring 802.11ac to market, and will do so in multiple phases.
