Pembroke Pines is the latest South Florida city to benefit from rapid growing urgent care company.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- MD Now Medical Centers, the fastest growing Urgent Care company in Florida today gave Broward County residents and visitors another option for medical care. With the opening of its Pembroke Pines urgent care location at 9650 Pines Boulevard, MD Now provides convenient and easy medical access for the Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Margate, Davie and Cooper City communities.

The 6,300 square foot facility is the first location in Southern Broward County (south of 595) for MD Now. With its opening, MD Now Urgent Care will have 14 locations throughout South Florida – five strategically located in Broward County.

"As one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, Pembroke Pines became a natural part of the MD Now expansion plan," explained Peter Lamelas, M.D., CEO of MD Now Urgent Care. "Through expanded hours of operation, multiple locations, affordable cost and quality medical services, we offer unmatched healthcare accessibility."

MD Now Urgent Care is known for its comprehensive, high-tech approach to the patient care experience. Providing a full scope of treatment for a variety of injuries and illnesses like flu and colds, sprains, strains and broken bones, dislocations, diabetic issues, cuts, burns, allergic reactions and more, MD Now offers a multitude of healthcare services under one roof. Also found at the Pembroke Pines location will be services not every urgent care center offers. Some of those services include:

  •        Physical Therapy
  •        Lab Testing

  •        Physicals for sports, work, travel, immigration, adoption, military, Department of Transportation (DOT) and others

Quick and efficient care is a hallmark of MD Now Urgent Care centers with an average in/out period of less than 60 minutes. Lamelas said this type of quality service extends to all patients, "As a provider of occupational medicine to small to large corporations in South Florida, we pride ourselves on evaluating and treating work-related injuries and illnesses quickly, so that workers can return to their jobs. This efficient treatment spreads to our day-to-day medical services for adults and children who would rather be seen promptly than spend hours in an emergency room."
