Points of Light Joins unite4:good Movement as a Founding Affiliate to Lead Change Through Service

Organizations Share Common Objective of Mobilizing Volunteers to Take Action and Make a Difference

CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 02/12/14 -- Adding to its growing coalition of charitable organizations and sponsors, unite4:good (www.unite4good.org) today announced that Points of Light (http://www.pointsoflight.org) has joined its global movement for humanity as a Founding Affiliate. Through its initiative "One America," Points of Light will work alongside unite4:good, establishing a new standard whereby acts of kindness and service become so valued and celebrated that everyone chooses to make them a part of their daily life.

"Points of Light is proud to join with unite4:Good to help people bring their full range of volunteer power -- their time, skills, influence and resources -- to bear to make a difference in the world," said Tracy Hoover, president of Points of Light.

Points of Light, along with JPMorgan Chase as the founding partner, launched its "One America" initiative in June 2013. One America is a call for people to come together in service, despite their differences to make a difference together. The initiative is focused on inspiring and enabling people-powered solutions to tough community issues.

Founded by the nonprofit Bright Future International (www.BrightFutureInternational.org), philanthropist Anthony Melikhov's unite4:good movement is committed to a message of inspire:empower:share:love and inspiring positive action to deliver a day when the number of people who want to help outnumber those who need it.

"We applaud Points of Light for encouraging everyone to use their time, talent, voice and money to create change and joining the unite4:good movement," said Mr. Melikhov. "It is especially important to put aside our differences and unite for service under Points of Light's new One America initiative. One America is demonstrating that service unites and that what we agree upon is stronger than what divides us."

WebRTC is about the data channel as much as about video and audio conferencing. However, basically all commercial WebRTC applications have been built with a focus on audio and video. DevOps is being widely accepted (if not fully adopted) as essential in enterprise IT. But as Enterprise DevOps gains maturity, expands scope, and increases velocity, the need for data-driven decisions across teams becomes more acute. DevOps teams in any modern business must wrangle the ‘digital exhaust’ from the delivery toolchain, "pervasive" and "cognitive" computing, APIs and services, mobile devices and applications, the Internet of Things, and now even blockchain.
A strange thing is happening along the way to the Internet of Things, namely far too many devices to work with and manage. It has become clear that we'll need much higher efficiency user experiences that can allow us to more easily and scalably work with the thousands of devices that will soon be in each of our lives. Enter the conversational interface revolution, combining bots we can literally talk with, gesture to, and even direct with our thoughts, with embedded artificial intelligence, whic...
