Video Marketing Pioneer Vidyard Appoints New Chief Marketing Officer

Senior Business Leader Tyler Lessard Joins to Further the Video Marketing Platform's Phenomenal Growth

TORONTO, ON -- (Marketwired) -- 02/13/14 -- Vidyard, the world's leading video marketing platform, today announced the hire of Tyler Lessard as their new Chief Marketing Officer to help the company extend its market leadership and sales momentum. Vidyard saw its revenue grow 19x last year, resulting in recognition from Reuters as one of the fastest growing startups likely to go public in the next two years.

Vidyard leads the video marketing platform category with proven technology, advanced features, and integrations with leading CRM and marketing automation systems, including Salesforce.com, Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, HubSpot, ExactTarget and HootSuite. Since the company's founding in 2010, it has raised more than $8.5 million from investors and has become one of high tech's most compelling growth stories. The company reported 1800% revenue growth in 2013.

"Video-based content has quickly emerged as the most effective and engaging medium for external marketing, internal employee training, and sales channel enablement," said Michael Litt, Chief Executive Officer, Vidyard. "However, most organizations lack the tools they need to understand exactly how viewers are engaging with their video content, and how they can better turn passive viewers into active, engaged customers. The Vidyard platform addresses this challenge head-on and we continue to see an exponential increase in market demand."

Vidyard's expansion into the sales arena with its recent Salesforce.com integration drove the enlistment of Tyler Lessard as its Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Lessard will drive corporate marketing and business development for Vidyard with a focus on creating customer-centric value propositions and innovative go-to-market strategies.

"Vidyard is uniquely positioned as a pioneer and global leader in the rapidly emerging market of advanced video marketing and analytics," said Tyler Lessard, Chief Marketing Officer, Vidyard. "I'm thrilled to be joining a team that truly understands the growing impact of online video content for marketing and education, as well as how to help organizations maximize the returns on their video assets through powerful analytics and best-in-class reporting on actual usage and viewer engagement data. It's an exciting market to be a part of, and one that delivers demonstrable and high-impact value to customers across all industries."

Prior to joining Vidyard, Tyler was the Chief Marketing Officer at Fixmo, a leader in mobile security and mobile device management solutions and brings 13 years of marketing, business development, ecosystem development and product management experience.

"We're excited to have Tyler Lessard on board as a proven marketing executive with a strong track record for building global go-to-market programs, strategic industry partnerships, and customer-centric solution offerings," says Litt.
