Gamespace.com launches open beta for its platform that allows gamers instant access to play, connect, and discover new MMORPGs on PC & Mobile. Gamespace.com includes payments, chat, analytics, virtual currencies, cross-platform achievements, leaderboards, friends list, messaging, and more.
"We started with MMORPGs on our platform because of the passionate and engaged communities they foster," said Steven C. Wade, Gamespace.com Founder and CEO. "As an active member of the MMORPG.com community since 2002 it made sense to partner with the guys over there to bring these features to their 2.5 million users and over 600 MMORPGs listed over the next year."
To kick things off Gamespace.com selected two MMOs and a mobile endless runner to roll out features this month: Seven Seas Saga, a Web MMO of pirates and traders who try to control the seas by wit and strength & Original Blood a micro client MMO that lets players play as vampires, werewolves, and humans. In Original Blood gamers get to build empires for their chosen race that shape the game world. Finally, Drive Me Bananas an amazing endless runner, where monkeys drive a very special taxi through a crazy city.
In addition, the massive growth of the free-to-play market in 2013 of 45% from the previous year led over 100,000 beta-registrations to Gamespace.com. We will begin emailing gift codes for items in Original Blood & Seven Seas Saga to the beta-registrants next week.
