Unrivalled multi-link emulation capacity in a single Propsim F32 box enables up to 150% CAPEX saving
Anite, a global leader in wireless equipment testing technology, today launched a major multi-link emulation enhancement to its Propsim channel emulator platform, significantly increasing the performance testing capacity of LTE-Advanced multi-mode chipsets, devices and base stations and enabling users to save up to 150% in test tools CAPEX compared to investing in multi-box solutions.
The enhanced multi-link emulation capacity in a single Propsim F32 box eliminates the need to synchronise several emulator boxes - this speeds up the development and verification of new devices and base stations. With this new platform release, users are able to create larger test scenarios in a lab environment, with twice as many devices and base stations as any other solution available on the market. LTE-A device testing with large lab setups enable users to conduct more realistic performance testing, accurately testing the end user experience in the live network.
Propsim F32 enables comprehensive testing of new LTE-Advanced features such as Carrier Aggregation, ICIC and eICIC (enhanced Inter Cell Interference Coordination) using real-world like scenarios for each user independently. With enhanced emulation capacity, Propsim F32 now supports performance testing of four LTE devices and four LTE base station cells, or up to ten LTE devices connected to two base stations when conducting Carrier Aggregation or handover testing.
'Users benefit from huge productivity gains thanks to our latest Propsim innovation, which offers twice the testing capacity of any other available solution', says Paul Beaver, Products Director at Anite. He continues: 'The unique multi-link emulation capacity coupled with leading LTE test scenario creation tools makes Propsim an unrivalled testing solution for LTE-A Carrier Aggregation and HetNet performance testing.'
The multi-link emulation capacity enhancement is available as a simple software upgrade for customers with an Anite maintenance contract. The platform enhancement increases the emulation capacity of Virtual Drive Testing, Over-The-Air Testing and Advanced MIMO Testing.
