AV Homes Celebrates Success of CantaMia With Offering of Nine New Models

Land Purchase Complete for Final Phase of 55-Plus Community

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 02/14/14 -- AV Homes, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVHI) has announced the availability of nine new floor plans at its successful CantaMia at Estrella community in greater Phoenix. Several of the new designs will be part of a newly completed model complex with grand opening slated for Feb. 14, 2014.

CantaMia experienced a dramatic increase in both sales and traffic in 2013 and is currently closing out its first phase of 200 homes. The community's second phase of 200 home sites is over 25 percent pre-sold, and construction of those homes began in December. According to the U.S. Census Bureau and Brookings Institution, Phoenix ranks as the top destination for those 55 and older moving to new areas since 2009, and the success of CantaMia attests to that.

"The Phoenix housing market is picking back up, and the 55-Plus segment is growing even faster," stated AV Homes Arizona Division President, Tim Little. "We are thrilled with the success of CantaMia to date, and our latest designs offer future residents an even wider selection of new home choices."

To celebrate the debut of the new model complex, AV Homes will host a series of private and public events. On Feb. 13, Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord and council members attended a Grand Opening VIP event for City officials, AV Homes business partners, and members of the realty community. For two weekends beginning Feb. 15, CantaMia will hold Mardi Gras celebrations in honor of the model home complex opening. Each weekend day will feature live entertainment, a complimentary jambalaya lunch, door prizes and a chance to enter the grand prize drawing of airfare for two from Phoenix to New Orleans. Additionally, there will be a stunning display of classic cars and tours of all nine new model homes.

CantaMia is part of the master-planned community of Estrella, in the town of Goodyear, Ariz. -- named one of the five "Most Livable Cities in America." A truly unique 55-Plus community, CantaMia is the result of years of studying the active adult and baby boomer lifestyle. Where To Retire magazine named CantaMia one of the 50 Best Communities in the U.S. and The National Association of Home Builders 50+ Housing Council awarded CantaMia: Gold Award - 2012 Best Community and Silver Award - Best Green Community.

The nine new models are part of the Duet, Ensemble and Symphony series and range in size from 1,220 to 2,364 square feet with base prices ranging from the $140's to the $250's. For more details, visit the AV Homes website www.AVHomesInc.com.

Digital Transformation means: handling all the data types being found and created in the organizat...
