Silver Spring has been selected for smart street light and Smart City programs in iconic cities such as Paris and Copenhagen. In Paris, Silver Spring has been selected for an advanced street lighting and traffic controls program as the city seeks to reduce its public lighting energy consumption by 30% over the next 10 years. Copenhagen, often referred to as the world’s most sustainable city, is looking to Silver Spring to deploy a citywide canopy network to connect more than 20,000 street lights.
The Edison Awards have recognized and honored some of the most innovative products and business leaders in the world and is among the most prestigious accolades honoring excellence in new product and service development, marketing, design and innovation.
