Social media management and marketing programs for companies have become a dominant business strategy to remain relevant with today's consumer. Currently, the challenge for digital agencies is to ensure their clients recognize the importance of keeping pace with advancements in social media platforms, so that they can adapt and modify their approach to engagement with their audience. Ultimately, the program needs to realize the company's business objectives as well, which is the primary function of social media in the corporate arena.

Too often with compelling new technologies market participants become overly enamored with that attractiveness of the technology and neglect underlying business drivers.
