Calsoft Labs, a pioneer in Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions, today announced the availability of a range of professional services to support network equipment manufacturers (NEMs) and telecom operators to use the Intel® Data Plane Development Kit (Intel® DPDK) to design, develop and deploy network functions with industry-leading packet processing performance using Intel® architecture-based platforms.
Telecom operators are increasingly looking to Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) to reduce CapEx and OpEx while accelerating the ability to develop and deploy new, revenue-generating services. Intel platforms allow applications and network functions to be implemented in a single, scalable multi-core architecture with up to 10x improvement in data plane processing performance using Intel DPDK.
