Allus starts 2014 with excellent results in safety in technology platforms, achieving PCI–DSS certification (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) to ensure implementation of controls for the proper handling of sensitive information such as credit and debit card transactions through different contact channels, including audio response, voice recording and video.
This certification is part of the efforts of Allus focused on minimizing the risk of fraud and ensures that adequate controls of all elements that can process, store or transmit credit card information are in place.
Trustwave, a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) in Colombia authorized by the PCI Council, conducted the certification process. This work began in July and for 7 months the necessary adjustments were made to comply with all the controls required by the PCI standard.
The implementation of this standard ensures Allus customers, the company's priority in its fraud prevention and implementation of plans aimed at developing and maintaining a secure network, protect the end-users card data, maintain a vulnerability management program, implement strong measures to control access to information, regularly monitor and test networks and maintain a policy of information security ensuring the safety of user information at any stage: stored, transmitted or processed.
“Achieving PCI certification is an important step in the ongoing quest of Allus to deliver to our customers the peace of mind of information systems, services and platforms that meet quality and safety standards worldwide. With this certification, Allus becomes a benchmark in the region for the safe handling of credit card information,” explained Jose Mejia, Director of Technology of Allus.
