Varrow, Inc., leader in Cloud, Mobility, and Security today announces Jason Nash as Chief Technology Officer

Varrow, Inc, the trusted leader in Cloud, Mobility and Security solution offerings, announced the appointment of Jason Nash as Varrow’s Chief Technology Officer effective immediately. In addition to driving Varrow’s cloud strategy for the past six years, Mr. Nash brings more than 16 years of relevant industry experience to his new role having previously served as a Platform Architect at a large investment bank where developed the organizations IT strategy. Prior to Mr. Nash becoming CTO, that function was handled in part by CEO and co-founder Jeremiah Cook.

“It was a move aimed at helping the company better align itself with customer requirements,” said Paul Nashawaty, Varrow’s Director of Technical Marketing and Solution Strategy. “Before, each of a solution provider’s practices were focused on their own areas,” he said. “They focused on the technology. But as partners move higher up into a customer’s business, they need to also move up the stack and get a more holistic view.”

Many organizations are undergoing an IT Transformation. That is moving from a reactionary stance by IT to a more business focused resource. This is very different than how most IT departments have operated in the past. Making that transition can be very difficult as it’s not just about how IT operates, but instead how the entire business operations. The ways of doing things from the past must be evaluated, reviewed, and very often changed. Varrow is working with our customers to help them make this transformation and it’s requiring the company to be much more in synch with their business, not just being their IT vendor. Not only are customers changing but Varrow is changing so that we can help lead organizations through this IT Transformation. This role helps by focusing us on the future and allowing us to provide guidance for our customers.

“This new role is very exciting. I’m excited to work with our engineers and helping them get enabled on next generation products and technologies,” Jason Nash said. “We want to be ahead of the curve and we’ll do that by gaining experience and knowledge in areas where the industry is headed. Innovation is happening very quickly and we’ll be working to stay ahead.”

Mr. Nash has published several books on networking, Windows, and Linux and authored several video courses on subjects such as vSphere Security, Advanced vSphere Networking, Cisco UCS, vCenter Operations Manager, and Cisco Nexus 1000v. He is a vExpert, EMC Elect, and Cisco DC Champion. He holds a BS in Networking Technology and a MS in Information Security. He regularly speaks at user group meetings and VMworld and his list of industry certifications includes: VCP, CISSP, CCNP, as well as VCDX #49.
