LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 02/19/14 -- The Candidate Experience Awards, a non-profit organisation focused on facilitating the evolution of the employment candidate experience, today announced details of the U.K. Candidate Experience (CandE) 2013 Awards Announcement and Reception. The 2013 CandE Award honourees will be announced and celebrated, at a special ceremony taking place at The Brewery in London on Tuesday, 25 February, 2014.
Now closing its second year, the U.K. CandE Awards are open to organisations that recruit in the British employment market. The evaluation process includes employer and candidate surveys to assess and benchmark the candidate experience, while identifying those companies that set a high standard. In addition to honouring this year's winners, the CandE Awards Reception will reveal some of the main research findings collected during the 2013 programme; based on survey responses from more than 3000 candidates and 29 participating companies.
"In today's job market, companies recognise that the candidate experience is more important than ever. It can have tremendous impact on a company's employment and overall brand, and is a proven differentiator for those employers working to recruit top talent and improve their bottom line," commented Elaine Orler, co-founder and chairman of Talent Board, founding organisation of The Candidate Experience Awards. "We are pleased to honour the winning companies of the 2013 CandE Awards and excited to share informative details from this year's research."
The CandE Awards consists of three survey rounds, each of which is designed to evaluate the company's corporate applicant process and how it treats those candidates who apply. Those companies that meet criteria for a positive candidate experience in rounds one and two are honoured as CandE Award winners. Companies who meet a high standard of candidate experience excellence are invited to participate in the final judging round, where they are interviewed and evaluated by the industry luminaries for areas of distinction. Those identified as providing exceptional candidate experiences are named "With Distinction" honourees.

A strange thing is happening along the way to the Internet of Things, namely far too many devices to work with and manage. It has become clear that we'll need much higher efficiency user experiences that can allow us to more easily and scalably work with the thousands of devices that will soon be in each of our lives. Enter the conversational interface revolution, combining bots we can literally talk with, gesture to, and even direct with our thoughts, with embedded artificial intelligence, wh...

One of biggest questions about Big Data is “How do we harness all that information for business use quickly and effectively?” Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or spatial technology is about more than making maps, but adding critical context and meaning to data of all types, coming from all different channels – even sensors. In his session at @ThingsExpo, William (Bill) Meehan, director of utility solutions for Esri, will take a closer look at the current state of spatial technology and ar...

The vision of a connected smart home is becoming reality with the application of integrated wireless technologies in devices and appliances. The use of standardized and TCP/IP networked wireless technologies in line-powered and battery operated sensors and controls has led to the adoption of radios in the 2.4GHz band, including Wi-Fi, BT/BLE and 802.15.4 applied ZigBee and Thread. This is driving the need for robust wireless coexistence for multiple radios to ensure throughput performance and th...
