Sylvan Learning Extends DAC Group Digital Media Agency of Record Mandate

Digital partnership to increase ROI, drive greater conversion and steward student achievement

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- (Marketwired) -- 02/19/14 -- Education and tutoring service provider Sylvan Learning Inc. has centralized its digital media investment to include display and increase its SEM execution with DAC Group. The 800+ location franchise has experienced a double digit increase in digital conversion rates since 2012. The increase is largely accredited to a revamp of its online presence and search campaigns in the US and Canada.

"Historically, our media mix included a blanket approach to digital media. While effective, we saw an opportunity to expand our reach to better support our franchisees. This led to investing in the localization of our efforts and resulted in an incredible year of digital for us." stated, Julia Fitzgerald, Chief Marketing Officer, Sylvan Learning Inc. "Sylvan has fully embraced the way families interact and learn with new technology. We recently re-tooled our entire system with SylvanSync so our students' curriculum is delivered on iPads. We are also mindful of how parents want to connect with us - primarily through local digital interfaces. DAC understands how to help us connect locally, yet on an international scale." continued, Julia.

In addition to managing Sylvan's North American paid search (SEM), local listings management and SEO content solutions, DAC Group will now curate a fully-integrated performance-measured online strategy with a strong digital display component. Initiatives will include local organic search optimization, paid-search, display and mobile display strategy, Internet Yellow Pages and conversion optimization designed to strengthen leads at the local franchise level.

"As early digital adopters ourselves, we're thrilled to be guiding Sylvan Learning along their digital journey. Our holistic presence management services support a high yielding ecosystem that lends itself well to high performance scalability. Proprietary technology paired with sophisticated digital strategy have come together to create a successful conversion formula for the franchise. We couldn't be more delighted in our growing relationship with Sylvan. They're deep dive into digital and newly embraced approach to "baking digital in" to their overall business development strategy sets the bar for online acquisition." says, Norm Hagarty, CEO, Managing Partner, DAC Group.

Digital Transformation is the ultimate goal of cloud computing and related initiatives. The phrase is certainly not a precise one, and as subject to hand-waving and distortion as any high-falutin' terminology in the world of information technology. Yet it is an excellent choice of words to describe what enterprise IT—and by extension, organizations in general—should be working to achieve. Digital Transformation means: handling all the data types being found and created in the organizat...

The Internet of Things is not only adding billions of sensors and billions of terabytes to the Internet. It is also forcing a fundamental change in the way we envision Information Technology. In this Power Panel at @ThingsExpo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, panelists addressed this very serious issue of pro...

How do software owners track the usag...
