Former co-founder and Deputy MD of Virgin Mobile, Joe Steel, has been appointed as the new CEO of Viacloud UK. Joe has worked with various members of the Viacloud team and played an instrumental role in shaping the beginnings of the MVNO industry during his time at Virgin. He commented: "With mobile devices and services proliferating, brands are looking for new ways to enter the mobile space. This means innovating the MVNO model and Viacloud is well placed to enable these trends. I am delighted to be joining such a strong team to lead the business in to its next phase."
Viacloud UK Chairman, Tom Alexander, commented: "I am truly delighted to be welcoming Joe to the business. He is an entrepreneurial leader who is well positioned to take the company to its next stage of growth. I have worked extensively with Joe in the past, and he is ideally placed to develop and grow the business."
Former CEO, Emanuele Angelidis, has recently stepped down for personal reasons unrelated to the business. Emanuele stated, "I would like to wish Joe every success and look forward to him building upon the foundations we have put in place." Tom Alexander added, "Emanuele has played a key role in commercialising the business. The Board and the whole team at Viacloud wish him all the very best."
