Telrad Networks Announces Availability of TD-LTE on BreezeCOMPACT Multi-Technology Base Station

Release Empowers Broadband Wireless Operators With Optimized and Cost-Effective TD-LTE Solution

BARCELONA, SPAIN--(Marketwired - February 24, 2014) - Mobile World Congress -- Telrad Networks, a global provider of innovative sub-6 GHz LTE telecom solutions, today announced the release of TD-LTE on its Multi-Technology BreezeCOMPACT Base Station. The LTE release is the latest addition to Telrad's solutions to provide operators with optimized broadband wireless technology.

This announcement follows a recent succession of product releases last fall, including the 7000 Series of Dual-Mode CPEs that allow operators to evolve to TD-LTE at their own pace -- without disrupting service continuity. The TD-LTE release addresses the challenges operators are facing in providing fixed and nomadic broadband services to end users, while overcoming the complexity and risks associated with a technological evolution to TD-LTE.

The BreezeCOMPACT base station is one of the advanced products that were added to Telrad's product portfolio as a result of last year's acquisition of Alvarion's 4G division. Its versatility is based on a powerful Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform designed to support an economical and non-disruptive software-only evolution. Telrad's addition of the LTE capability will widen the market for the product.
