NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Family Research Council (FRC) President Tony Perkins will hold a press conference tomorrow at 2 p.m. Central in Delta Ballroom B at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center, site of the National Religious Broadcasters Convention (NRB). The press conference will highlight new polling showing how Americans view religious liberty in light of the Obama administration's attacks on the free exercise of religion nationwide. The poll asks where Americans stand on whether "pastors and churches should challenge the Obama administration when religious liberty is threatened."
FRC has been a leader in defending the religious liberties of all Americans against the Obamacare Health and Human Services mandate that all employers must pay for drugs that can act like abortifacients in their health plans or pay fines, regardless of an employer's religious views. FRC has filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court in the Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood cases. FRC has also written extensively on the Obama administration's failure to promote religious liberty abroad.
