At Mobile World Congress 2014, Kony, Inc., the leading enterprise mobility company, and AirPlug, a leading provider of multiple access optimization (MAO) solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to deliver an enterprise-grade mobile solution to mobile network operators. This best-in-class solution aimed towards telcos will enable enterprise customers the ability to deploy apps with better user experiences while simultaneously optimizing the QoS and overall demand on the network.
As data usage and streaming content of today’s apps continues to increase, users are demanding better experiences on a wider variety of devices. These demands create an ongoing challenge for the enterprises creating the apps and the providers of the networks on which the apps run. To solve this problem, Kony and Airplug are focused on providing a significantly improved user experience over heterogeneous networks by adaptively selecting and or simultaneously combining cellular and WiFi mobile data traffic through what AirPlug calls ‘Blended Boosting’ which creates single virtual interfaces to media service applications.
The partnership between AirPlug and Kony will enable developers using the Kony Experience Platform to quickly and easily integrate AirPlug’s technology into any app they deploy. For Kony, this marks another example of compatible, open technologies that developers can leverage from the open and standards-based platform. For AirPlug, integration with Kony makes it easier for developers and app providers to leverage their technology in production deployments. Both companies also have a strong presence with telecommunication providers making their combined solution an enhancement to the services being offered by telco partners today.
Kony and AirPlug will be expanding their offering from multimedia streaming services to enhanced cloud services allowing high speed file downloading and uploading, content loading, file synchronization as well as web based data services.
Kony and AirPlug are present at Mobile World Congress 2014 to promote their unique solutions to the participants from the worldwide telecommunications industries.
AirPlug was founded in June of 2010 with clear goals set to solve challenges in the telecommunications’ multimedia services. AirPlug’s professional engineers specializing in network intelligence and multimedia delivery developed a unique QoS based wireless heterogeneous networks utilization technology called ‘MAO (Multiple Access Optimization) Technology.’ For more information about AirPlug, please visit www.airplug.com.

What are the new priorities for the connected business? First: businesses need to think differently about the types of connections they will need to make – these span well beyond the traditional app to app into more modern forms of integration including SaaS integrations, mobile integrations, APIs, device integration and Big Data integration. It’s important these are unified together vs. doing them all piecemeal. Second, these types of connections need to be simple to design, adapt and configure...
