eFront Launches FrontPM, a New Solution for Advanced Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting

eFront, a leading software provider of financial solutions for managing alternative investments, is pleased to announce the availability of its newest product for direct investment managers, FrontPM. The new product offers an unprecedented set of portfolio monitoring and analysis capabilities that will streamline and automate the gathering of portfolio company data while enabling sophisticated performance analysis and reporting.

Investment managers will realize many benefits with FrontPM. They will be able to dedicate more time to portfolio analysis and to more quickly perform tasks such as responding to investor inquiries and generating quarterly reports. They will produce more accurate reports and streamline the portfolio company valuation process while spending less time troubleshooting and auditing their analyses. And, managers can enable their investors to easily receive and incorporate FrontPM output by generating AltExchange documents, the industry standard for sharing private equity investment information.

Many teams will enjoy these benefits including middle office analysts, deal team professionals, the investment committee, investor relations and fundraising personnel.

“eFront has a rich history of innovating and bringing exciting new products to the market. FrontPM is wonderful example of this,” explained Olivier Dellenbach, CEO at eFront. “The private equity and alternative investment community has long needed a product to solve the challenges related to portfolio monitoring and portfolio company reporting. Clients are already transitioning their current portfolio monitoring processes to FrontPM from disparate spreadsheets.”

Many managers are forced to link or paste figures across differently formatted spreadsheets due to a lack of a centralized data source. This frequently leads to problems with data quality, accuracy, and information reconciliation.

FrontPM was designed from scratch to streamline or replace these labor-intensive and error-prone tasks. The product automates the collection of data in a single database with a configurable calculation engine to facilitate the analysis of both standard and custom performance metrics.

FrontPM is extremely flexible. Its deep integration with Microsoft Excel™ enables professionals to continue using Excel while enhancing auditability. FrontPM-built Excel reports provide full calculation and source traceability with a single click. FrontPM can be used as a standalone solution, deployed on premise or hosted in the cloud. It is the only portfolio monitoring software that is integrated out-of-the-box to FrontInvest and AnalytX PEO, the market’s leading front-to-back office product suites for managing alternative investments. It can also integrate with other fund management and accounting solutions through configurable interfaces.

When applications are hosted on servers, they produce immense quantities of logging data. Quality engineers should verify that apps are producing log data that is existent, correct, consumable, and complete. Otherwise, apps in production are not easily monitored, have issues that are difficult to detect, and cannot be corrected quickly. Tom Chavez presents the four steps that quality engineers should include in every test plan for apps that produce log output or other machine data. Learn the ste...

Enterprises are universally struggling to understand where the new tools and methodologies of DevOps fit into their organizations, and are universally making the same mistakes. These mistakes are not unavoidable, and in fact, avoiding them gifts an organization with sustained competitive advantage, just like it did for Japanese Manufacturing Post WWII.
When building large, cloud-based applications that operate at a high scale, it's important to maintain a high availability and resilience to failures. In order to do that, you must be tolerant of failures, even in light of failures in other areas of your application. "Fly two mistakes high" is an old adage in the radio control airplane hobby. It means, fly high enough so that if you make a mistake, you can continue flying with room to still make mistakes. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Le...

With more than 30 Kubernetes solutions in the marketplace, it's tempting to think Kubernetes and the vendor ecosystem has solved the problem of operationalizing containers at scale or of automatically managing the elasticity of the underlying infrastructure that these solutions need to be truly scalable. Far from it. There are at least six major pain points that companies experience when they try to deploy and run Kubernetes in their complex environments. In this presentation, the speaker will d...
Machine learning provides predictive models which a business can apply in countless ways to better understand its customers and operations. Since machine learning was first developed with flat, tabular data in mind, it is still not widely understood: when does it make sense to use graph databases and machine learning in combination? This talk tackles the question from two ends: classifying predictive analytics methods and assessing graph database attributes. It also examines the ongoing lifecycl...

Disruption, Innovation, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Leadership and Management hear these words all day every day... lofty goals but how do we make it real? But what if we could implement and utilize these enterprise tools in a fast and "Non-Disruptive" way, enabling us to glean insights about our business, identify and reduce exposure, risk and liability, and secure business continuity?
