Active Power Announces Proposed Public Offering of Common Stock

AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 02/25/14 -- Active Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACPW), a manufacturer of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and modular infrastructure solutions, announced it intends to offer, subject to market and other conditions, newly issued shares of its common stock (the "Offering") in an underwritten public offering under an effective shelf registration statement on file with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The final terms of the Offering will depend on market and other conditions at the time of pricing.

The Company expects to use the net proceeds from the Offering for working capital and other general corporate purposes.
