PicsArt Mobile Photo Editing and Drawing App Hits Milestone Crossing 100 Million Installs

PicsArt Photo Studio (http://picsart.com/), a free, fully-featured photo editing and drawing mobile app, reached 100 million installs on Android. Of all the Google Play apps, only 40 have exceeded 100 million installs with PicsArt being the only app from the Photography category. PicsArt is also popular on iOS and Windows Phone, which both launched in 2013.

PicsArt is a full art studio packed into a mobile photography solution for users who range from beginners and amateur artists to professional photographers. Features include comprehensive photo editing tools (similar to those of a professional desktop editing program), 100-s of customizable effects and masks, a complete drawing tool with layers and numerous brush options, themed clipart packages and other useful and fun features, all packed into one free and easy-to-use mobile app.

“We started PicsArt in November 2011 with the goal of building the world’s most popular easy-to-use app that would rival the best desktop editors. We strongly believe that everyone is an artist and PicsArt helps people discover and develop their inner creativity,” said Artavazd Mehrabyan, COO and Co-founder. “In just two years, we’ve had more than 111 million downloads across platforms with a consistent near 5-star rating. It’s important to note that PicsArt is a bootstrapped business that does little-to-no marketing. Our growth is fueled by word of mouth.”
